Ho Ho Ho Christmas is here - but what to wear???

So it's that time of the year again, when the Christmas lights are all over the city and the "Merry Christmas" songs are playing on the radio... People are running around to shop all the gifts and there is a feeling of joy everywhere.

But this is also the time for the annual Christmas parties and the stress that most of us women have around what to wear for this special occasion.

You probably don´t want to wear something that makes you stand out too much in a negative way but you still want to stand out from the clothes you normally wear. But you do wanna wear something that will make the cute guy from accounting that you have been flirting with, to notice you in a good way.

So girls, if you stand on between what I mentioned above, here are my two party outfits for Christmas this year. Whether you're a dress girl or a pants girl. here are some tips that can help you out.

A dress is a classic choice but it does not have to be the classic little black dress. So, why not try a new colour or shape. A bright colour dress can make you feel free and change your mood. so don´t be afraid of it.
Dress from Missguided; Clutch from AX Paris; Heels from Carvela; Bracelet from Anna Lou of London

My choice goes for a bit of glam in this party dress from Missguided. It's cool design will elongate your body and will make you longer. In this case, I chose to not over accessorize it because the dress itself is a "look at me" design, so a simple bracelet and a golden clutch bag will do the job.

A Jumpsuit is a perfect choice if you are more of a pants girl. It is a feminine and sexy piece of clothing without being too much over the top. It's also comfortable and it will make you look and feel tall. It can also give you shape and hide a few lumps and bumps that you don't want to emphasize.
Jumpsuit from French Connection; Snake Print Clutch from AX Paris; Necklace from Miss Selfridge;
Bracelet Stack from Limited Edition from New Look

My choice for the jumpsuit is this sexy Jumpsuit from French Connection. It is smart and sexy and its low back makes you stand out even when you are backwards. It's a great statement piece and you can wear it for every kind of party. Dress it up with a pair of heels and a glam statement necklace for the perfect look.

Lastly, for the perfect Christmas party outfit make sure you wear the right make up. Smokey eyes, red lips and nails will be a great choice with both of these outfits (examples below are from Missguided).

I hope these tips help you out.
Merry Christmas!

How to Wear Printed Trousers to Work

Trousers are probably the most used item in our wardrobes, because they can be stylish, comfortable and suitable for an everyday use. They can be styled in so many different ways, depending on your style and the occasion you’re going to, however it can be hard to pull of printed trousers.

So we gathered a few outfits recommended by our fashion stylists that can help you wear print trousers to work.

Style Tip: Prints can be great to disguise a few bumps, but the wrong print in the wrong colours can draw unnecessary attention to an area you don’t want to draw attention to, so make sure you choose your patterns and prints wisely, depending on your body shape.

Styled by Sabrina Woolley, the first outfit is based on a pair of Tile Print Trousers from New Look, a Black Leather T-Shirt from Miss Selfridge, a Black Bowler Bag from Miss Selfridge, a pair of Strap Heel Platforms from Boohoo and a Golden Chain Bracelet from Miss Selfridge. These trousers will look great on Inverted Triangle, Oval and Diamond body shapes.

The second look, styled by Ria Johnson, is based on a pair of Pink Floral Print Trousers from French Connection, a Black Sleeveless Shell Top from New Look, a Black and Gold Clutch from New Look, a pair of Metallic Heel Courts from Boohoo and a Strap Watch from New Look. These trousers will look great on hourglass shapes.

The next look was also styled by Sabrina Woolley and it will look great on straight, hourglass and pear shapes. The outfit is based on a pair of Geometric Print Trousers from French Connection, a Black Oversized Blouse from Missguided, a Winged Tote Bag from New Look, Aztec Earrings from New Look and a pair of Foxy Sandal Shoes from Simply Be.

What to Wear to an Evening Event

The weekend is almost here... hurray!!!! To celebrate this, we gathered two outfit ideas that could give you some ideas on what to wear an evening event. Depending on your style, body shape and age, these outfits can be a real traffic stopper.

The first look is based on a Little Black Dress (LBD) and is a more classic and chic approach. Styled by Alex Moore, this outfit is based on a Sleeves Textured Dress from French Connection, a Tweed Piped Cape from Dorothy Perkins, a Leather Tote Bag from French Connection, and a pair of Leather Shoe Boots from French Connection. You could wear this gorgeous outfit to a date, dinner with friends or even a more formal dinner (eg: company dinner).

Tip: If you're not comfortable in wearing a mini dress, change it for a midi length dress and it will look perfect as well.

The second outfit is a more fun and girly look. Styled by Sabrina Woolley, this is a great look to wear to a more "fun" party. It's based on a Red Skater Skirt from Miss Selfridge, a Black Long Sleeve Crop Top from New Look, a Red Stepped Clutch from Dorothy Perkins, a Gold Cut Out Necklace from Miss Selfridge and a pair of Black Suede Sandals from Ravel.

Tip: If you're not a fan of crop tops, change it for a simple black sleeve top and it will look great as well.

The third look (and last) is based on a gorgeous A-line dress from Dorothy Perkins. the A-line makes this dress perfect for Pear, Diamond and Inverted Triangle shapes. For the Pear and Diamond shapes it disguises the wider hip, and for the inverted triangle shape it gives it a wider volume to the hips, balancing your frame and creating an hourglass shape.

This outfit, styled by Gitte Eigner, is great to wear to an evening event and it has a modern vibe to it. The Black Cutwork Dress is from Dorothy Perkins, the Cut out purse is from New Look, the Sling Shoes from Simply Be and the Triangle Earrings are from New Look.

Tip: For a more chilly weather, layer this dress with a jacket of your choice. A biker jacket would look great, but depends on what kind of evening event you're attending.

Top 5 Jackets for Autumn

Now that the Summer is gone and the cold weather is coming, you slowly need to bring out your warmer clothes.

This is that time of the year when you need a jacket in the morning but in some days not in the afternoon. So finding the perfect jacket is difficult, because you need one that's warm enough to be worn outside but not too warm so you'll start to sweat and feel uncomfortable (especially if you are out for a long period of time).

The perfect jacket for this weather should also look great with all (or most of) your outfits and wardrobe, whether you're going to work or for dinners, parties and a night out in town. This is why the Autumn and Spring jacket is the hardest one to find. But when you find the perfect one you know it has been worth the hunt.

Here are my top five jackets (in no specific order) and a few tips regarding trends on what you should be looking for.

1#: Leather Sleeve Jacket

The first big trend is the on-going trend that started this Spring: jackets with a bit of leather. It looks like this trend is here to stay, so a jacket like that would be a great investment for your wardrobe. The black leather sleeve jacket is raw and cool, it's the style that you will see on jackets, sweatshirts and tops, so it's definitely a trend to go for.

2#: Multicolour Jackets

A 2 coloured jacket is a great way to get more colours to your outdoor look. You can use jackets and coats for it and it will give your classic jacket a young and cool look to a classic shape. In this case this is a monochrome jacket, but there are several other jackets with other colours that you can choose from.

3#: Bomber Jacket

The bomber jacket or what some would call the baseball jacket is a very hot trend this fall. The cool and comfortable cut makes these jackets a great buy and almost "must have" . You can get them in different colours and cuts so it would fit your body shape.

4#: Military Style Coat

The military style coat has been very popular this year and it still is. Now in a loose and cool way, this jacket has a bit of that shape and also comes in khaki colour. It's loose shape style gives it a more casual look. This jacket will fit all body shapes and ages.

5#: Trench Coat

The trench coat is the on-going trend for every season, you get it for Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring, and it's the most classic jacket (in terms of shape) you can get. It comes back in trendy colours and is the one jacket in your wardrobe that will always be trendy and stylish - a truly "must have".

So go online and find the jacket that fits your style and look perfect for this Autumn.
